Kydex Thermoform Sheets - Kryptek Original Camo Series

For DIY thermoforming, Kydex Thermoform Sheets are highly similar to Holstex and Boltaron in their formability when heated and molded around an object. Once cooled, this material retains the shape of the item used to mold it. In its cooled state, it is remarkably durable and lightweight. Widely used for holster making, cosplay costume creation, keel guard protectors, and much more.

The surface texture of the Kydex sheet is referred to as P1 "Hair Cell", which describes the size and shape of the texture grain. P1 is the most common texture for holsters, sheaths, and other carry items. The uniform texture across the material surface produces a non-reflective, scratch-resistant finish.

To use Kydex thermoform sheets, simply score and cut a piece slightly larger than the object being covered. Heat the material to 300-375°F, place it over the object, and press the material around it using forming foam. Allow it to cool in position, then remove and sand the edges to the desired shape.
