The Kydex thermoform sheet is very similar to Holstex and Boltaron in its forming properties. When heated and molded around an object, it will retain the shape, and in its cooled state, it is extremely durable and lightweight. This material is widely used in holster making, cosplay costume creation, keel guard protectors, and much more.

The texture applied to the surface of the Kydex sheet is referred to as P1 "Hair Cell," which is the most common texture for holsters, sheaths, and other carry items. This texture is uniform across the surface of the material and produces a non-reflective, scratch-resistant finish.

To use the Kydex thermoform sheet, simply score and cut a piece slightly larger than the object being covered, heat it to a 300-375 degree Fahrenheit range, and place it over the object. Using forming foam, press the material around the object and allow it to cool in position. Once cooled, remove and sand the edges to the desired shape.
