The KYDEX Thermoform Sheet is a premium molding material, featuring a P1 haircell texture on the top surface and an untextured bottom surface. This industry-standard thermoform sheet is widely used by both amateur and professional molders, gun holster and knife sheath makers, to create high-quality, professional-grade KYDEX protective covers for a wide range of objects.

The HOLSTEX Thermoform Sheet, on the other hand, is the most advanced material available for holster and sheath making. Its unique "Basketweave" texture, which is a raised 3D surface, is compatible with the basketweave textures commonly seen on law enforcement belts, police duty gear, and other custom leather items. Unlike the aftermarket basketweave KYDEX sheet, the HOLSTEX Basketweave texture does not distort or fade with forming, making it a revolutionary step forward in the available texture options for professional sheath and holster makers.

The bundle includes one KYDEX Thermoform Sheet with a P1 Haircell texture in Coyote Brown, and one HOLSTEX Thermoform Sheet with a Basketweave texture, also in Coyote Brown. Both sheets are 0.080 inches thick and measure 12 inches by 12 inches.

For DIY thermoforming, both KYDEX and HOLSTEX Thermoform Sheets are very similar to Boltaron in the way they form when heated and molded around an object. Once cooled, the materials will retain the shape of the item used to mold them. In their cooled state, they are both highly durable and lightweight, making them suitable for a wide range of applications, including thermoform holster making, cosplay costume creation, removable surface coverings, keel guard protectors, and much more.

The P1 "Hair Cell" texture on the KYDEX sheet is a common and popular choice for holsters, sheaths, and other carry items, as it produces a non-reflective, scratch-resistant finish. The HOLSTEX Basketweave texture, on the other hand, is a raised surface texture that forms exceptionally well at normal thermoforming temperatures (325°F - 375°F) and does not distort at the higher ends of the heating range, making it easy to mold using both press-form and vacuum-forming equipment.

To use these thermoform sheets, simply score and cut a piece slightly larger than the object being covered, heat the material to the recommended temperature range, and press it around the object using forming foam. Once cooled, the material will retain the shape of the object, and the edges can be sanded to the desired finish.

Both the HOLSTEX and KYDEX thermoform sheets are proudly made in the USA, and each sheet is individually packaged and inspected by the manufacturer's staff.
