Commonly referred to as "Black Chicago Screw Assemblies," these black oxide-coated slotted post truss head holster retention assemblies are designed to create adjustable retention in KYDEX holsters, flashlight carriers, and magazine carriers. They help to close the gap between the opposing material layers in common thermoform holster designs.

The black oxide-coated 8-32 truss head screws, an exclusive feature of the Holstex brand, feature the thinnest edge available on this type of design. This is crucial when used for holster retention, or even in clothing or upholstery applications, as the leading edge of the truss head screw is the surface most likely to cause irritation when rubbed against. 0.375 Inch: Each assembly includes a 0.375-inch slotted post (black coated), a 0.375-inch Phillips truss head screw (black coated), and a 0.375-inch EDPM washer.

0.375 Inch (XL): Each assembly includes a 0.375-inch slotted post (black coated), a 0.500-inch Phillips truss head screw (black coated), and a 0.480-inch EDPM washer.

0.500 Inch: Each assembly includes a 0.500-inch slotted post (black coated), a 0.500-inch Phillips truss head screw (black coated), and a 0.480-inch EDPM washer.

0.625 Inch: Each assembly includes a 0.500-inch slotted post (black coated), a 0.500-inch Phillips truss head screw (black coated), and a 0.625-inch EDPM washer.

In addition, the SPTHRA-500-PH-BK-12 Holster Retention Assembly includes (1) 0.500-inch slotted post (black coated), (1) 0.500-inch Phillips truss head screw (black coated), and (1) 0.480-inch EDPM washer, with a quantity of 12 assemblies.

EPDM Rubber Retention Washer (Included): The included EPDM rubber standoff washer is placed between the material layers of the holster. This can then be tightened (or loosened) with the included Phillips truss head screw to adjust the grip of the thermoform material of the holster against the holstered item, creating the adjustable retention.
