KYDEX Thermoform Sheets: This is a premium KYDEX thermoform molding sheet. The texture on this version features a P1 haircell pattern on the top surface and an untextured bottom surface. KYDEX is the industry standard material for DIY holster and sheath making due to its thermoforming capabilities. As a moldable plastic sheet, KYDEX can also be used to create thermoformed imprints of almost any surface or shape. This popular material is utilized by both amateur and professional thermoform molders, as well as gun holster and knife sheath makers, to create quality, professional-grade KYDEX protective covers for a wide range of object sizes and shapes.

8 Eyelet Setting Tool (Includes Base & Ram): This tool is designed to create a "rolled" finish on 1/4 inch eyelets. The set includes both the eyelet ram and base. To use, simply align the pre-rolled portion of the eyelet in the base cup and apply gentle tapping pressure with a hammer. If you don't mind the extra handwork, this economy flaring tool will keep your project cost low and your need for bench space at a minimum. With minimal practice, excellent eyelet flaring results can be achieved.

For DIY thermoforming, Kydex Thermoform Sheet is very similar to both Holstex and Boltaron in the way it forms when heated and molded around an object. Once cooled, this material will retain the shape of the item used to mold it. In its cooled state, it is highly durable and lightweight. Kydex is widely used in thermoformed holster making, cosplay costume creation, removable surface coverings, keel guard protectors, and much more.

To use Kydex thermoform sheet, score and cut a piece slightly larger than the object being covered. Heat the material to a 300-375 degree Fahrenheit range and place it over the object. Using forming foam, press the material around the object and allow it to cool in position. Once cooled, remove and sand the edges to the desired shape. The CKK Eyelet Hand Setter and Base are designed to help you bind two or more pieces of KYDEX, Leather, Canvas, or virtually any material using standard binding eyelets. With a couple of simple taps with your hammer on the flaring ram, you'll quickly be setting these #8 eyelets with a blemish-free rolled finish.
