Kydex Thermoform Sheets - SuperCam Series

For DIY thermoforming, Kydex Thermoform Sheet is very similar to both Holstex and Boltaron in the way it forms when heated and molded around an object. Once cooled, this material will retain the shape of the item used to mold it. In its cooled state, it is very durable and lightweight, and is widely used in holster making, cosplay costume creation, keel guard protectors, and much more.

The texture applied to the surface of the Kydex sheet is referred to as P1 "Hair Cell", which is the most common texture for holsters, sheaths, and other carry items. This uniform texture across the surface of the material produces a non-reflective, scratch-resistant finish.

To use the Kydex thermoform sheet, simply score and cut a piece slightly larger than the object being covered, heat the material to 300-375 degrees Fahrenheit, and place it over the object. Using forming foam, press the material around the object and allow it to cool in position. Once cooled, remove and sand the edges to the desired shape. Our Repeating Graphics camo patterns are applied using a leading digital infusion process, which thermally bonds the graphic to the top layer of the Kydex thermoform sheet while maintaining the original sheet's texture and size. This process creates a 3D depth effect like never before.

Please note that the design and placement of the Repeating Graphics on the core sheet will allow the maker to yield (3) 7-2/3" pieces. These graphics are only available on 11.50in x 23in sheets.
